Brick Garden Series

The Brick Garden Series integrates painting, photography, printmaking, collage, and film in an extended meditation on art, culture, and society.

Excerpts from the 5-minute looping video on canvas installation, Brick Garden Series. The work began in 2012 and remains in progress.

Emerging from the 3-year process of this work, and the many interviews with academics, researchers, and practitioners from the arts, humanities, and social sciences is the understanding that world we have created for ourselves is not the evolution of hapenstance many imagine, but an inevitable and nearly perfect manifestation of the values carried in cherished stories we tell ourselves, or allow to be told to us, and in our images, songs, rituals, and other expression.

In addition to the video installation, the process produces archival prints and painted collage panels.
